is the a way for me to convert my Yahoo website to Frontpage?
GET HOSTING FOR 1 Cent! USE CODE: JURY
I wanting to take my entire website and convert it from Yahoo to Frontpage (and move it to new host who doesn’t treat me like dirt), is this possible, or do I have to go through and do it one page at a time?
Thanks in advance
It was Frontpage to begin with, but when I went to Yahoo the files would not work, I went to Yahoo Support and they gave directions they said would work, but it did not work and I had to go through and re-do everything.
Are you sure I can just upload these Yahoo files to new host (I’m going to try Earthlink if they pull one more true answer from YA)??
I have the entire website on my PC, but it is built using Yahoo Sitebuilder.
When I try to make a page in MS Word and copy and paste it into Sitebuilder it doesn’t work correctly – the colors (in the text) goes away, and the fonts are screwy, etc.
I should have also added – not only does it not work right to copy from MS Word into Yahoo Sitebuilder if I do it in Frontpage and copy and paste it into Sitebuilder it also does not work right

You should have all the files you used to create your SITE saved somewhere, which you should, all you need to do is upload the exact same files to your new Host.
Pretty much, all HOST have the same process in creating a web-site. Just remeber how you did it the first time
Download all the files and folders, just as they sit. Upload them to the new host. Period. (ALL the files and folders – not just the files.) Any site running even a decent web server (and most of them run Apache on Linux boxes and IIS on Windows boxes) will run the same files, as long as you maintain the directory structure.
Frontpage files will *ONLY* work on sites that have Front Page Extensions installed – and there are fewer and fewer of them, since Frontpage is a discontinued (and no longer supported) product.
Word HTML files will ONLY work on some servers and in some browsers – it totally violates most W3C standards.
Write web pages in a text editor (even Notepad will do the job, but a free program like Notepad Plus makes it a nicer experience – if you need WYSIWYG, try NVU.)
And Craig glossed over a very important point – ALWAYS have your entire site saved locally. People who depend on the site to back up their sites are known as “former web site owners”.
I’m not sure. I’m sorry I did not give you bets answer while back on that religion question cause you got it right before that other person but I never got your answer until I already picked. So sorry you deserved the ten points, Glad I got a chance to tell you even though I am not sure how to answer your question here. smile ok Bye now.
