GoDaddy Business Web hosting?
GET HOSTING FOR 1 Cent! USE CODE: JURY
I want to start a online business and need a: domain, website builder, SSL certification, shopping cart and merchant account. Ease of use, features and price are most important. Has anyone used GoDaddy (and their Quick shopping cart) to build and run a business? As far as prices they seem a bit cheaper than some other places.

Hey,
I just built my website with this great service called WebStarts. WebStarts is everything you need to make a free website. I highly recommend it. Its much cheaper than godaddy.
You can sign up for your own free account here: http://www.webstarts.com/?aff=melvinhill
I worked on a web site which is hosted on a GoDaddy dedicated server. From my experience, they do not have a good post sales customer support.
I suggest you to check http://neond.com
They offer free easy to use site builder, SSL support, shopping cart(OS commerce) and free ready to install scripts.
I think most companies will offer ecommerce software and packages as part of their hosting plans including shopping cart, ssl/https support, etc.
Definitely ask that as a pre-sales question.
That said, I would say go with a hosting company that has really good support. That’s hard to fine. I particularly like hostingzoom.com. A bit pricier, but good support. Here’s the link to their merchant features
http://hostingzoom.com/merchant.php
A friend of mine swears by mediatemple. Also pricier but worth it. Plus they have a toll free support number (not just live chat) and he says their tech staff is one of the best

I have a handful of companies I usually recommend for regular hosting (hostgator, webhostingbuzz, inmotion, etc.) but 1) I don’t know how seamless their merchant accounts are, and 2) their support is really not that great but for most projects you don’t need it and they are definitely affordable.
But for something more complicated, it’s good to have top notch support and pay more for it to get your online business up.
Godaddy have all your mentioned features, but they servers are so overloaded with websites and become very slow.
It will affect badly your google PR and visitors won’t come back because of bad service.
I suggest using Hostgator, you will get all features you want with better website templates than godaddy and lower server ping time. And it is crucial for your e-business success.
You can even Google for hostgator coupon codes to get hosting at half of its price.
You can try the discounts available on Godaddy through Webhostingbreak. The services reviewed by the site is great, http://www.webhostingbreak.com/godaddy
I don’t prefer Godaddy. Hostgator seems to be better.
great choice, aplus.net too
