Confused about subdomains?

Very new to website building.

I bought a few domains with 1and1.co.uk. They allow you to create 5 subdomains on your account and I’ve done this in the past. e.g whatever.com has forum.whatever.com and blog.whatever.com all made throught the 1and1 control panel and pointing to different hosts.

But now I’ve purchased hosting with godaddy and they have options in their settings to add subdomains.

So what’s the deal with being able to create subdomains both with the place you bought the domain and at the hosting your pointing it to???

What am I missing – surely they can’t both be in charge of assigning subdomains at the same time?

What do you think about these facts about Muslim women in the U.S.?

Four Surprising Facts
Revealed in The Face Behind the Veil

* American Muslim Women Are Among the Most Diverse in
the World

American Muslim Women hail from 77 countries.
Indeed, most are not Arabs, but South Asians. Many are
African Americans tracing their ancestry to Muslim
slaves brought to America by the slave traders. A
growing number of Anglos and Hispanic women are
finding their spiritual home in Islam. Muslim women
are also diverse in how they practice their faith:
Many do not wear the hijab, for example.

* Muslim Women in America Are Not Downtrodden

Most Muslim women profiled in the book have
college educations and work outside the home. One
study shows that Muslim families have an average
household income of $75,000, making them among the
most affluent in America. For the most part, Muslim
women here are not the downtrodden who are seen on
nightly newscasts in Europe or Third World countries.
The women profiled in the book say Islam promotes
learning and that is why so many Muslim women are
educated. Even Muslim refugee women, denied an
education, are eager to learn once in America. And
they make sure their children have the education they
didn’t have.

* America has influenced Islam — and Muslim women.

America’s Islam is not Europe’s, South Asia’s
or the Middle East’s. Many American mosques have
become a gathering place, from hosting Brownie troops
to Weight Watchers. Many Christians who converted to
Islam, particularly African Americans, hold religious
classes and services on Sunday, even though they still
go to Islam’s traditional Friday prayers. America’s
influence is also why there is such a fight for equal
treatment in the mosques here. While some women, such
as in Pakistan and other South Asia countries are used
to not going to religious services, American women
aren’t. They want the same facilities, the same
treatment in the mosque as men receive.

* Technology has helped spread Islam across America

American Muslims have used the Internet to
strengthen their faith. Muslim women can now buy
whatever hijab or gowns they want on the Internet. Or
they can chat online why they chose not to wear any
sort of scarf. They can find a mate on a matchmaking
website. They can study the Quran on the web or join
Muslim groups. Although they may be the only Muslim
family in Smallville, they are only a click away from
finding other Muslims like themselves throughout the
United States.

I love the compassion that many of the people that answered have for their fellow human beings.
Makes me quite sad that some people don’t care.
To the person that said they should burn after reading about peaceful women shows that you are racist and prejudiced.
For cruse.. I can’t answer anymore questions. Why don’t you allow anybody to email you?

Online Marketing: How About Writing Reviews?

Writing reviews about what you are promoting is another way to gain credibility and trust. Speak from your gut when you are writing a review about what you are promoting. People can see through BS, so make sure you really believe in what you are writing or all you will do is make people NOT trust you.

Using testimonials, articles, and reviews also ads content to your “original mini site” type site. Now you’re killing two birds with one stone. You are building credibility and trust and adding content to your site.

Content is important to your visitors, but more important to the search engines. As I have said if you have a good tightly focused “original mini site” type site the search engines will index your site. Doing SEO on your site will index it higher. I’ll tell you exactly how to do SEO for your mini site in the mini site SEO section of this ebook.

Coming up with your own content is not hard. No matter what you are promoting you CAN write content for it. All you have to do is some research. Research what you are promoting at great length. You’ll be amazed at what you can come up with. Using my JointVentureSeeker site as an example again. After I had written the ebook, I needed some articles to promote it. I searched for popular articles on the topic and I went into forums and asked people what they wanted to know about joint ventures. Once I collected this information I just sat down and started writing. I use the book report technique. Study what you are promoting and then write a short book report about it. You’ll have more content then you’ll know what to do with! It really is THAT simple!

The main thing to remember when building an “original mini site” type site is that you are driving people to your site to do ONE thing. Be it buy, click a link, or sign up for a newsletter. Make sure that any content on your site points them back to what you want them to do. Do not give them choices. They may choose what you don’t want them to if you do.

Mini Site Extra

What you need to create an “original mini site” type site:

Domain name, Hosting, Something to promote, UNIQUE and VALUABLE Bonuses

Not many people use the “mini site extra” type sites, and I’m not sure why because they work EVERY time I build one.

”Mini site extra” type sites focus on selling one product or service just like any other type of mini site. They have a special twist to them though that makes them stand out. They not only offer one product or service, but offer the visitor special bonuses or incentives for buying the product or service or even signing up for a program or offer from that website. These should be special bonuses or offers not found anywhere else.

”Mini site extra” type sites are more like “mini site lite” type sites than “original mini site” type site. You don’t need a lot of content for “mini site extra” type sites. You still need to do a good job promoting the product, but a lot of content is not needed. For more examples, do visit http://www.honestreview.info/profitlance/index.html

Do you think there is a possibility that “The Birthers” are right about THE Dear Leader?

New Infomercial Revives ‘Birther’ Controversy

Rumors of the “birther” movement’s death appear to have been greatly exaggerated. The group has been demanding for months that President Obama produce a “valid” birth certificate to prove he’s a natural-born citizen of the United States – and it’s not giving up just yet. A Christian website called LivePrayer.com produced an infomercial that the United States Justice Foundation organization is set to air in seven Southern states. Highlights can be seen here:

Led by Bill Keller, a born-again Christian once convicted of insider trading on Wall Street, LivePrayer.com is working with an attorney, Gary Kreep, from the Ramona, California-based United States Justice Foundation, to air the production, titled “Where Was Obama Born?” in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri and Florida. The half-hour program implores President Obama to reveal the details of his birth, which they say is something that the president has “vigorously fought,” and asks viewers to send in a $30 donation. In doing so, donors are told that they’ll receive a “Got a birth certificate” bumper sticker, in addition to having a fax bearing their name and demanding President Obama to produce a birth certificate sent to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and the 50 state attorneys general. Kreep told Talking Points Memo that the recent airings of the spot have produced “something like 1,500 to 2,000 faxes” so far.

Predictably, the efforts of Keller and Kreep have provoked colorful reactions from some critics. Last night on her show, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow derided the infomercial as something one would expect to be produced if the “birthers” and the creators of Wayne’s World had “collaborated on an art project,” while Crooks and Liars labeled the spot as being positively P.T. Barnum-esque, noting that the minimal production costs involved in creating the infomercial combined with the low cost of airtime in rural markets ($100 for each airing in Lubbock, Texas), make for a potentially lucrative venture. Not to be outdone, New York Magazine’s Daily Intel weighed in with its own harsh review.

While some continue to express bewilderment over the fact that anyone could doubt the legitimacy of the documentation already provided by President Obama, particularly after the State of Hawaii confirmed its authenticity, a recent Public Policy Polling poll reports that 42 percent of Republicans believe Obama was born outside of the United States, indicating a not-negligible potential audience for the efforts of LivePrayer.com and the United States Justice Foundation.
