Web Hosting and Web Design For Small Business

I am considering starting a website for my business, but would also like to use the site as a blog. Being realistic, I think I would average a new blog article a week, max. I would also like to put certain “permanent” articles on the website, which I would rather not rollover as blog entries might. Considering search engine optimization as well as the technical issues, would website or blog hosting be appropriate?

I read somewhere that I can apply for a domain name for my website only if I have a business. I simply want to pay for a domain name for a simple website.I want to host that website with my own server. I was told that I can apply for a “fixed IP address” instead of a domain name. But I really want to have a domain name. So…do I really have to have a registered business?Also, is there a reputable Australian company that I should apply my domain name from? Thanks you for any answers.

i am wanting to start a web design and web hosting business, for now it will be run from home? what should i know b4 i start? i have red up on how to set up a home web site server and that. any pointers or ideas welcome thank you

I would like to create a new website. I already have two websites for which I pay $35 per year base price (I reduce this by buying several years at a time) for the domain name and $9.99 per month for a business account website. I am satisfied with both in terms of the level of service I receive, but I wonder whether there are lower cost alternatives available that would also provide very good service. Can you suggest registrars and hosting services that are high quality but less expensive?

I want to make a website and have my own domain choices like .co or .tc or something like that. I am wondering how to make the web hosting part.
